The aim of Country Treks Academy is to fill the obvious gap in the delivery and accessibility of equine studies for vulnerable or additional needs learners . We realised that Ginny Hole was a very special place and absolutely perfect to deliver bespoke training / mentoring. It’s a beautiful 30 acre nature reserve with a lake and woodland which offer tranquillity and a sense of well being.
We have just won the prestigious national SEIB Small Riding School of the Year Award. We want to go a step further and become nationally the best nurturing safe learning provision for young people with additional needs , be it behaviour learning physical or emotional .
Our vision is to take small groups of learners , the ones that currently struggle to access main stream provisions. These young people need to be treated as individuals with empathy, patience and creative coaching . We have been delivering this sort of education for 25 years to young people in care / excluded from school etc with great success but struggle to source funding for the most vulnerable. We want to bridge that gap.
‘I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for you and Pat, you have made me such a happy person.’
We can deliver exactly the same level of education as a mainstream college which can draw down funding. We believe our delivery and results would exceed expectations as we work with passion to fulfil the needs of each individual and a big equine college does not have the time to spend monitoring and supporting to this level. Our courses are tailor made to the individual, and we have the ability to produce first class sessions to meet the needs of each of our students.
